International exchanges and cooperation have promoted the development of NCIST.The institute sent abroad faculty members for advanced training, academic visit , invited overseas scholars to the institute for academic exchanges and visit. Every year, numbers of high-ranking officials coming from different countries and international organizations visit NCIST.
At present NCIST has quickened the pace of international cooperation. Cooperative education has been established with the University of North Carolino at Pembroke, Southeast Community College , the United States Institute of Occupational Safety and Heath, Capilano College in Canada , Kyongbuk College of Science in Korea and Hanoi University of Mining and Geology in Vietnam .

There centers
The Institutel places great importance on international exchange and cooperation , at present three national centers are located on campus :"The National Mining Safety Training Center "to which wasd given 1,220,000 dallors by UNDP(United Nation Development Programme )more than 40 teachers were sent abroad to have advanced studies ,besides ,over 30 foreign experts gave lectures in our college . 9,400,000 Austrialian Dallors were invested on "Sino-Australia Management Training Center ", 45 people went abroad for trianing ,8 teachers are studying MBA ,28 experts from Australian to give lectures ,3000 middle and high ranking officers of internal corporation were trained in total . Chinese Coal Mining Occupation Safety and Health Information Center ,as a branch center of international labor organization ,keep in touch with heahquarters which located in Genevese.
These three centers are the important windows of college 's intenational exchange ,besides ,they provide nation mining safety ,training business .management training ,adult education ,correspondence education and all kinds of short term training .They also play a very important roles in different forms,kinds and multilevels in education pattern of college .
